Meet the team

Orla McGinn MVB MRCVS qualified in Dublin in 1993 and has worked in Ireland, Bude and Launceston before setting up her own practice in the picturesque village of Lezant. When she is not working at the practice she is the taxi service for her three sons and principal obstetrician on her husband's farm during the lambing season. Orla enjoys swimming, running and walking her dog Alfie.

Bernadette Lewis RVN D32/33 (A1) also known as "Fred", has worked all over the country before finally settling in Cornwall. When she is not bandaging limbs and monitoring anaesthetics she socialises Hearing Dog puppies and enjoys wine-making. She has an incredibly hairy dog called Vance.

Sophie Stanbury SVN is our student veterinary nurse and is currently studying at Bicton on a day release basis. Sophie lives on a farm and can turn her hand to tractor driving as well as clipping cat's claws. Sophie has a gorgeous cat called Piglet.

Catherine Bastard is our receptionist at the front desk. She joined us in 2007 having worked for many years in local government. She is a local lady and seems to know or be related to everybody! Cath has two overindulged cats called Ginger and Minky
