Everyone at our practice is committed to providing you with the very best in pet healthcare. Our veterinary team bring a wealth of experience to the practice and have individually obtained high standards of professional qualification.

- Orla Mcginn

Qualified from Dublin University in1993 and having spent time working in the west of Ireland calving cows on mountain sides she decided to move to Cornwall. She met and married Tim ( a cornish farmer) and is doomed to spend the rest of her life in the county! Ever one to make the best of things, she set up the practice in one of her husbands disused barns in 2004 and has been here ever since. In her spare time she enjoys swimming and walking her dogs.

- Victoria Petherick

Victoria qualified from Glasgow Veterinary School in 2004 and has worked locally for several years. Victoria is married to Matthew, a farmer, and has three young sons and two boisterous dogs. When she is not busy with her children, Victoria likes walk her dogs at the beach and help out on her husband's farm.

- Bernadette Lewis (Fred)
- Veterinary Nurse / Clinical Coach
- RVN, LCGI, MBVNA, TDLB D32/33 (A1)
Qualified in 1991 and has been with the practice since it opened in 2004. In the past Fred has socialised Hearing Dog puppies and has a a mad spaniel called Bramble. Her special interests include pet nutrition, oral health and complementary medicines. Outside work she enjoys wine making, karate and growing her own fruit and veg.

- Sophia Peace
- Veterinary Nurse and Clinical Coach

Sophia joined us in 2007 and qualified as an animal nursing assistant in 2008. She then went on to qualify as an RVN in 2010 and became a clinical coach in 2013. Outside of work she cares for her cows and sheep, and two mischievous cats.

- Fenella Finch

Fenella is a local lady, living just a stone’s throw from the practice. She has previously worked in veterinary practices in Saltash and Bude and brings a wealth of experience with her to our team. When not in uniform she likes nothing better than walking her working Springer Spaniels.

- Shelby Thomas

Shelby gained her Veterinary Nursing Diploma in 2021 and has already become a clinical coach mentoring Yasmin, our student Veterinary Nurse.
She already had a diploma in Animal management and has a wealth of experience with a large range of species. Shelby has two beautiful rabbits called Snow and Toby. Her latest project is Rufus, a young puppy who is keeping her very busy.

Bryher qualified as an RVN in 2014. She has worked in various veterinary practices in Devon and Cornwall and brings a wealth of experience with her. When she is not at work she likes to spend time with her 3 cats (Arthur, Dave and Marvin).

- Clare Stanbury
- Receptionist
Clare is our team member on the front line in reception, and is a local lady who shares her life with a gorgeous cat and two mischievous terriers.

- Yasmin Steven
- Student Veterinary Nurse
Yasmin joined the practice in 2021 to help us out during the Covid pandemic- she liked it so much that she decided to stay and train as Veterinary Nurse. She already has an MSc in Psychology under her belt and now attends Bicton College once a week as well as working at the practice. Yasmin regularly competes with her 3 horses and has a dog called Cricket.
